About FBG

The FBG consists of three subgroups. The main purposes and proposed activities of each group are:

Dialogue group
The purpose of this group is to establish good relationship between KIMEP students and staff and start a connection with local universities’ students. The proposed activities of the group include organizing meetings, sport events, and intellectual competitions with KBTU (and/or any other Almaty university) leading student government members. In order to achieve good relations between KIMEP students and staff the group shall also organize friendly events, like “Name your favorite instructor” and, with coordination with school administration and events calendar, out-of-class meetings and dinners with staff.

Media group
The media group is aimed to reflect FBG activities. The group members shall also organize sociological surveys, provide students with such research as alumni and country watch to analyze and enrich student life experience. They will also be responsible for keeping the web-site up to date for FBG needs.

Charity group
The group members already work together with “Shapaghat” charity organization and students of other Almaty colleges. The students cooperate with Almaty orphan house #1 and #2; organize holydays and concerts for orphan children. Visits to the local kindergartens are planned in the future.
